His Word, My Wait

"Why sayest though, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? has thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the eart, faintet not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles: they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:27-31

There are times when we are going through struggles in this life and we wonder if God even knows the pain that we are suffering. We are mistreated or cast aside and we cry out to God asking if he sees what the enemy of our soul is doing to our lives and families. When we are so weary of the struggle that we do not think we can take another step or even lift our head, our heart wonders if God even cares. In that moment of despair and weakness, we must simply wait on God. It may seem a bit contrary but weariess is not in the waiting but in the battle of trying to do it on your own or in trying to "help" God.  "Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee." Proverbs 20:22  Though we have been hurt, betrayed or misused, just wait upon the Lord and he will bring you out. Scripture after scripture tells us to just simply wait upon the Lord and he will provide strength, salvation and abundant blessing.

"Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exat thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it." Psalm 37:34

"For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth." Psalm 37:9

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:14

Today I want to encourage you to just wait on the Lord and allow him to do the heavy lifting while you gain your strength.
