Restored: Vision

"Where there is no vision, the people perish:" Proverbs 29:18a

Have you gotten to the place that you hear so many voices and see so much that your hope has been depleted? You do not even know what you should hope for? You know what you desire to hope for but now you are wondering if it is God's will at all an perhaps your hope is misplaced. Do you find yourself wandering away in the spirit because your hope is not fixed and you seem to be unable to focus it?

Take a few minutes to settle back in your chair, close your eyes, and think of what God has already done for you. Has He redeemed you already? Has He helped you meet financial obligations? Has He healed you or a loved one already? There are many things that God has done for you and your family already, take a few minutes to take inventory of that faithfulness of God. Now take a few minutes to think about those things that He has promised you? Has He promised you restoration? Has He promised you salvation? Has He promised you joy? Has He promised you healing? Let the voices, faith and vision of His promises be louder and more vivid than the voices of defeat the the enemy throws at you. Tune into the vision of His promises, write them down and read them when the way seems dark. As the contrariness of reality seems to get louder, take time to refocus on the hope and the promises that God has given to you and the promises that He has already fulfilled.

"And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2-3
